My name is Daniel T. Luther and I am the Art Doctor. I have always be an art lover with an eye for detail. I have been in custom framing for the last ten years. Before that I assisted a conservator with guilding frames and cleaning paintings. One way or another I have always found myself around art.
I am one of those people who can't walk into a room without scanning the walls to see what is hanging on them. And what is it saying about the room and it's host's. Many times I see well intentioned art hung years ago. But with time taking it's toll. It has become out dated and irrelevant. The art itself is still the crux of the piece but the presentation is long since relevant. Materials failing or just an old fashioned matt and frame can drag down what the art is trying to get across. I take pride in the fact that I can restore a piece and return it's relevance and investment value.
